At KC’s Miniature Dachshunds, we prioritize responsible breeding, temperament, and lifelong support. Our puppies are raised in our home with hands-on care, early socialization, and structured routines to set them up for success. We focus on intentional pairings, transparency, and matching our puppies with homes where they will thrive. Our commitment doesn’t end at placement, we remain a resource for our puppy families for the life of the dog.
Are your puppies registered?
At this time, our puppies are sometimes eligible for CKC (Continental Kennel Club) registration. While we do not currently have AKC-registered breeding dogs, we plan to add an AKC-registered pair in the future as our program continues to develop. Registration details will always be clearly disclosed prior to placement.
How are your puppies raised?
Our puppies are raised in our home with daily handling, early socialization, and exposure to normal household activities. We focus on building confident, well-adjusted puppies with a strong foundation.
What comes with my puppy?
Each puppy goes home with:
- A puppy care package
- Started potty training and dog-door training
- Crate training underway
- A veterinary record, including routine deworming and first vaccinations
What colors and coat types do you produce?
Depending on the pairing, we may produce chocolate & tan, black & tan, red, cream, and dapple puppies in both smooth and long coats. Availability varies by litter.
Do you health test your dogs?
Yes. We are committed to responsible breeding practices. Our breeding dogs are selected with health, temperament, and structure in mind. Specific health testing information is available upon request.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A non-refundable $400 deposit is required to reserve a puppy and is applied toward the total purchase price. Deposits are only accepted once a puppy is confirmed available.
When can puppies go home?
Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age, once they are thriving, weaned, and have received appropriate veterinary care.
Do you offer shipping or delivery?
We prefer in-person pickup. Delivery options may be available on a case-by-case basis and must be discussed in advance.
Do you sell breeding rights?
Breeding rights are not guaranteed and are only considered for approved homes at our discretion. Additional requirements and pricing apply.
What if I can no longer keep my dog?
If at any point in the dog’s life you are unable to keep them, the dog must be returned to KC’s Miniature Dachshunds. We do not allow our dogs to be surrendered to shelters, rescues, or rehomed without our knowledge. This policy ensures the safety and well-being of every dog we produce.
Do you offer support after placement?
Yes. We offer lifetime breeder support and encourage our puppy families to reach out with questions at any stage of their dog’s life.
How do I get on your waitlist?
To inquire about upcoming litters or available puppies, please contact us through our website. Approved families may be added to our waitlist once a deposit is placed. There is a $100 non refundable fee to be on our waitlist which is taken out of total price for the puppy.
